Library card is common to all KU Libraries.
A self-service copying machine can be used in the library without charge. Submit the application form of copy services to the Photocopying counter. . The library follows the Copyright Act. It is not allowed to photocopy an entire book.
Interlibrary Services & Inter Campus Delivery Service
Interlibrary loan (ILL) services allow users to obtain articles, book chapters, and other documents from resources not owned by the library. Please send the following information to the library by email.
- For photocopy of article or book chapter: title of the book or journal, ISBN/ISSN, vol., no., pages, year,, title of article & author
- For loan of books: title of the book & author, ISBN, year *Materials borrowed from other institutions can only be used inside the library.
There is no charge for ILL services.
Using Electronic Resources
You'll need to authenticate your user status by ID and password when you access e-journals and databases. Regular Students ECS-ID（Student account） Regular Faculty and staff SPS-ID（Groupware ID） Other Kyoto University members SPS-ID（Groupware ID).
KUINS-Air, a wireless LAN service for Kyoto University affiliates, is available throughout the library.
Food, drink, photography, and talking on cell phones are not permitted.
